FULL STACK SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

The FAA Group has been operating as a large financial services and products business for over 30 years, servicing over 20,000 clients in both the government and private sectors.

 We currently have a vacancy for a self-driven, passionate and results focused Full Stack Developer to join our specialist team at this exciting point in the project to designing, developing, and implementing a suite of software products that include CRM systems, financial service platforms, web and mobile apps.

 You will work in a large agile environment, collaborating with highly skilled people, both IT and finance skilled personnel from different teams, who are proactive, passionate and results driven. What we require of you

•  Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff
• Able to understand the requirements of the development and translate into the software
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging abilities
• Impeccable ‘Attention to Detail’ (ATD)

Skills & Experience 

• An understanding of the financial services sector would be advantageous
• The ability to work in a small or large team environment
• The ability to enter a team and software project already underway and provide skills and suggestions while working towards the common goal
• Have at least five years’ or more relevant experience, including developing complex, high-performance back-end or low-level systems;
• Have a relevant degree or higher qualification;
• Immediate start available;
• Have a passion for data security and privacy;
• You have worked withNet and C# specifically (either professionally or otherwise);
• Be comfortable writing code for both the ‘front-end’ and ‘back-end’;
• Have worked with relational databases;
• Be adept in most aspects system design and development, including research, technical analysis, troubleshooting, testing, strategising and working to budgets;
• Be a great communicator and good human;
• Enjoy working on challenging problems; and
• Have previously worked in a Startup environment (or have experience building software programs from the ground up)
• A proven track record of meeting deadlines
• The ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
• Logical thinking and highly efficient coding
• A willingness to learn new technology

Specific Software

 Knowledge of the following programming languages/techniques or equivalent is required:

• C#, .Net Core, MVC
• REST APIs
• SQL or MYSQL

 A knowledge of the following is advantageous:

• Azure exposure
• DevExtreme/DevExpress Controls
• Unit Testing/Unit Testing Frameworks/Integration Testing
• Object Oriented Principles / Design Patterns
• .Net Desktop apps (WPF or WinForms)
• Xamarin
• GIT
